Sculptures and Making New Friends
Today we drove to Peppermint Grove to have look where it is as I want to have a paddle board lesson as this is where they are held. It is a beautiful spot and sheltered so should be perfect.

Gavin took us to his favourite brewery bar, Running With Thieves which is near South Beach and they serve Japanese style food, made a nice change to chips! Then off to the beach for a couple of hours, Gavin as usual wanted all the dogs to come and see him. The sea was a bit rough but not as rough as at Cottesloe but it had stirred up all the seaweed so we didn’t swim for long today.
We arranged to meet Camila and her parents who only arrived in Australia yesterday after a very long journey from Chile, at The Bar Orient for our final 10Aud steaks and Chase the Ace. It was really lovely to meet them and in true Chilean style it was hugs and kisses immediately when we met them. Oscar has only a very few words of English but Gigi speaks a little and we have a very little Spanish so we all used the Google Translate apps to communicate or ask Camila to translate. It was great fun and we all enjoyed spending time together getting to know each other. They have even changed their plans to have a few days in Margaret River this weekend so they can come out for our farewell meal on Sunday which is so much appreciated.
By the way, we had two chances to win Chase The Ace this evening but both darts missed, so not third time lucky, but as Gavin said, he has never even had a chance to throw before so we were lucky. While we were translating on our phones I had a Ring Doorbell notification and it was a Sainsbury delivery that I thought I had ordered for next week, oops. He took it away as couldn’t hear me talk on the doorbell but hopefully we might get a refund and will just have to wait and see.
Wow they look awesome x
