Windy Day

This morning we were woken up by a knock at our front door, which was a surprise.  It was the tree surgeons wanting us to move our car, they were only 13 days later than the notification we had about them working in Gold Street!  After breakfast I walked to Christine’s house for my fringe trim.  She is a lovely lady and she is from Switzerland but met her Aussie husband when she was backpacking and they have three adult children.  Typical Freostyle, she wouldn't  take any payment.

We picked Gavin up from his home and made our way to the beach but it was too windy to sit and relax so we had a picnic lunch on the greensward.  We came back to the house and I had my second shower of the day to get rid of all the sand that had blown on me and in my hair.

We decided to go to Port Beach to Coast Bar Restaurant overlooking the ocean.  We enjoyed watching who we thought were windsurfers but these guys had hydrofoil surf boards which rise above the surface of the ocean and the wings are not attached to the boards like they are with windsurfing.  This gives flexibility to the surfer and is amazing to watch.

Using one hand to control the wing, brilliant to watch

We came back to our house in Gold Street and relaxed for a while the Gavin and a Richard cooked roo burgers and sausages on the BBQ, it was a tasty meal.  After chatting Gavin took an Uber home as it is an early start for him and Richard as they are playing tennis in the morning at 08.00 with one of Richard’s friends from Lexden Squash Club who is over here for his daughter’s wedding.
