Warm Day
Much warmer today and what do we decide to do, walk to the shops! We went to our favourite butchers and greengrocers, easy walk from here and a local showed us a short cut which was nice of him.
We came back and dropped the shopping off, had a cold drink then set off for South Terrace an area we have only driven through. There are loads of coffee shops, bakeries and surprisingly hairdressers. I was telling Liz this evening that I wanted my fringe trimmed soon and she knows a lady who lives round the corner who can do it for me as salons can be expensive even for a fringe trim. We stopped at a patisserie and had coffee and milk shake for me. We bought some pastries for dessert tonight at another bakery, good job we did a lot of walking with all those calories.
We came back again for more cool drinks and rest before walking into Fremantle. Richard bought a couple of pairs of shorts at his favourite men’s store, still sad it is closing down as it is an individual store with good service and nice clothes. We had a drink and bite to eat at The National then walked home and luckily it was cooling down a little. We were tired when we got back and both had a nap.
The excitement in the street today is that there is a wedding at quite a large house at the end of the street. We have heard cheers, music and celebrations and saw the bride and groom walk to the park we presume for more photos. They got married in the garden and all the guys had black suits, white shirts and black bow ties, bride and bridesmaids were in white. Not sure when the festivities will end tonight but so far it is not too loud.
Gavin video called and showed us the angry skies in Newman, it has been 44 degrees today and a storm is brewing. He had to end the call early as it started to rain and he had to get his washing from the laundry before it poured!
For dinner we had roo sausages, Frank does not make roo burgers. They are healthy as they are so low in fat, will make up for the desserts. They were tasty and we enjoyed them.
