Lazy Sunday
Temperature over 30 degrees today but a cool breeze most of the time so not unbearable. We got ready to go to lunch with Gavin and his friends, some we have met and some we haven’t. We went to a restaurant called The Quarie, Richard drove there and I drove home. There were 17 of us and as some of the guys had been to a stag night the night before, we were pleased everyone turned up! We had an outside table in the shade and we spent about two and a half hours there in all eating and chatting. It was lovely to see Steph and Colm’s two children, Ella was a newborn when we saw her last and we have never met Noah. I was thrilled when they were leaving that Ella came up to me and gave me a huge hug and kiss goodbye without being told to.
It was good to catch up on all our news and see how everyone is doing now after the Pandemic and with the recession that has hit everywhere, interest rates have gone up here and as in the UK and that effects those with mortgages. We have arranged for another meet up at Laura and Pierre’s once Gavin is back from work on 11th March if all goes according to plan.
When we got back again we relaxed and chatted with Gavin and watched Australian Mastermind on tv and got involved with it, none of us ever watch it usually, so funny.
