Different Saturday
After a late night we decided not to go snorkelling with Gavin and Camila. They went to a relaxation floatation tank, a present for Christmas from Gavin. He said it was ok but wouldn’t do it again but he did fall asleep in there, not sure what Camila thought of it. They went snorkelling afterwards.
We opted not to walk into Freo but walk along South Terrace where there are loads of restaurants and coffee shops, it was pleasant walking in the shade and we went to the South Beach Cafe for coffee and smoothie and a delicious slice of caramel cake. We enjoyed people watching but didn’t go to the beach. On the way back it was hot and we were waiting for Gavin and Camila to get back so called in at The Local Hotel for a cool drink. They still didn’t arrive so we came back to the house, where I had a doze while reading my book. Still waiting, so gave up on them and went to the beach for a couple of hours. It was a little cooler and very pleasant way to spend the afternoon. It is a dog beach and for some reason we were like a magnet to them, so funny as suddenly a wet sandy dog would come and say hello, at one time a huge Rottweiler walked over me, his owner apologised but he was so gentle and his paws didn’t hurt me when he stepped on my legs, I think our Freo would have done!
We collected Gavin on the way back as Camila was meeting some friends for dinner. We spent a leisurely evening chatting and having dinner together, ate outside as it was so pleasant.
